We're seeking a results-driven Talent Journey Advocate with start-up energy, an analytical mindset, and a strong work ethic. This role will be responsible for guiding and supporting consultants throughout their journey and the Journey Advocate will have the unique opportunity to partner throughout the onboarding, on project up until offboarding for all our top industry consultants with the overall impact of creating a life changing and remarkable career and consultant experience through the magic of working at Makosi.


This position demands a balance of creativity, drive, and interpersonal savvy that will position you to play a key role in advancing a more accessible, diverse and equitable talent base through our hiring practices.

Duties

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

  • Initiate, support and take ownership of all consultant processes through the onboarding experience including logistical arrangements , organisation onboarding information and events and overall successful journey set up
  • Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for every consultant throughout formulating, creating and implementing high impact career and journey road map within the allocated talent pool
  • Acting as a true expert throughout various stages of the on-project journey by driving the feedback process, client experience, overall utilisation management, evaluating consultant's skill levels and matching top talent to our amazing on-project opportunities
  • Drive, deliver and taking overall responsibility of the overall journey experience by providing support to all relevant people admin related queries ie. Claims, leave, payroll and all support queries relating to the journey 
  • Manage, support and drive a culture of frequent feedback between internal client support teams and the consultants with the overall objective to manage, track and implement effective performance management and providing timely feedback to consultants post all client engagement requests
  • Drive, review and uphold data accuracy on all consultants on the supporting internal portal
  • Source active and passive talent through driving and continuously increasing consultant referrals
  • Build and maintain a high level of engagement with consultant talent pools, keeping them informed and sharing with them the various ongoing opportunities that we have on offer
  • Negotiate and successfully close extension requests for all consultants within the allocated talent pool


Role Requirements:

  • 3 years + of Talent experience in a fast pace corporate or professional services setting with proven ability coach and develop a team.
  • 3 years + experience in a customer and / or Talent focused delivery environment
  • Full-cycle HR and Talent Management experience within the Accounting, Advisory and professional services industry.
  • Vast network and knowledge in CA(SA) and related Accounting Industries.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands. Self-directed and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to organize, analyze, and communicate data to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand clients' business goals, anticipate future needs, and develop solutions
  • Ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships
  • Excellent commercial communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) - strong listener who makes people feel understood; can be inspiring and fun while being capable of flexing to different audiences.
  • Collaborative team player who takes the action in driving initiatives with the aim of executing top results
  • Has the ability to thrive in a fast paced, results-oriented environment, solve problems creatively, think on his/her feet and be comfortable in new situations working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player with innovative ideas to inspire Client loyalty and adoption.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building strong internal and external relationships
  • Consistent track record of highly-professional Client service in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's Degree
