VP of Marketing

We are growing rapidly and are searching for a growth minded strategist and innovative marketing generalist to help us shape the future of the $700 billion global audit industry. This exceptional marketing leader will help us define and drive our category and go-to-market strategy, create a full-stack demand generation machine and deliver on Makosi's thought leadership strategy.

Duties

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Develop and execute the strategic marketing plan that supports the overall strategy, drives rapid growth, delivers on CAC targets and optimizes our position in the industry
  • Work hand-in-hand with company leadership, and inspire a global marketing organization
  • Drive the vision, integrated strategy for growth efforts across all touchpoints, including paid acquisition, SEO, ASO, PR, P&L marketing, digital and offline events
  • Embed experimentation at the heart of all marketing activity and maximize learnings across acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Refine and validate core marketing KPIs and operating metrics such as CAC and LTV. Monitor all metrics and focus on scaling channels and lifetime value effectively
  • Drive the team to define, execute, analyze, and optimize A/B and multivariate tests. Set the standard for fast A/B testing, experimentation, and iteration to continuously improve performance
  • Craft messaging and positioning in the market; conduct competitive and market analysis to determine and highlight Makosi's key differentiators
  • Manage the day to day activities of the department including but not limited to: performance management, goal setting, career development, hiring/firing, etc
  • Build, further develop, and leverage relationships with industry media to grow awareness around the Makosi brand, mission, and movement in the market
  • Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly
  • Own growth targets and budgets for all marketing initiatives for both B2B and consultant audiences
  • Work with key stakeholders including finance to size initiatives and make strategic recommendations on investments
  • Manage programs across multi-functional teams and with multiple agency partners

Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of account based marketing experience with a focus on demand and lead generation
  • 7+ years of direct management experience with demonstrated success leading and motivating teams as well as managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with an at-scale marketing budget
  • Executive level experience at a growing technology company
  • A proven track record delivering significant business growth through performance marketing
  • Experience leading an early-stage marketing team and you have a firm understanding of growth marketing
  • Able to translate complex strategies and messages to a variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • You have experience in evolving marketing programs based on performance data, ground level feedback from sales and understanding of the business
  • You have previous experience building media relations and getting a brand the right attention
  • Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • The mentality of an entrepreneur/founder
